TED: EVERY KID NEEDS A CHAMPIONS

Educator
Rita F. Pierson a professional educator since 1972, taught elementary school, junior high and special education.  She spent her entire life in or around the classroom, having followed both her parents and grandparents into a career as an educator.

The aim of  Rita F, Pierson  in her talk in TED was a rousing call to educators to believe in their students and actually connect with them on a real, human and personal level. She encourages to discuss the value and importance of human relationships in education.

These are some questions that Rita says in the speak and that all teachers should ask to themselves. How do I raise the self-esteem of a child and his academic achievement at the same time?  Can we stand to have more relationships? Is this job tough?
